Black Hat SEO is a manipulation of search used to manipulate the search engine’s natural algorithm, which gives a website unnatural metrics to improve your website’s ranking in search engines.

The recent technique is to buy PBN links to rank your website on top using Black hat SEO

PBN is a network of collections of websites that all point to each other to pass the authority to singular or multiple websites. Placing your content inside of the PBN link enhances your ranking in the search engines where each website inside of PBN is on separate hosting with different IP addresses and accounts.

Buying PBN Links

If you want your website to be long-lasting and effective, I recommend you not go for PBN because it can penalize your website from google and worst case lead to banning your website (de-indexation) which will not be a great thing. This doesn’t mean that PBN’s are a no-go, but you need to avoid purchasing “PBN” links and rather try to build your own PBN network.

You create your own (or buy it ready…) this way you can keep the quality of content high and avoid having PBN’s linking to bot your site and thousands of other websites (from webmasters who purchased links) in a blog filled with low quality and promotional article.

Of course, exceptions apply, some PBN links have great quality but the advice is to purchase small quantities and then check carefully the domain of the link provided. And, of course, stay away from super cheap PBN links. Those no matter what won’t do any good and they can be useful only to push some web2.0 property or get other backlinks indexed.

Don’t buy pbn links. It’s not pbn if it’s in plain sight of everyone.

A short yet explanatory sentence I read on the blackhatworld forum while writing this article, and explains why you should not buy PBN links but rather build your own.

How many PBN’s do I need to make a difference?

First, every link counts. But to have a big impact (first positions) the amount of PBN links (referred to as different domains) depends on the quality of the PBN’s (age, relevance, domain authority, organic traffic) and how competitive is the niche you are trying to rank for.

Generally speaking, 10 quality PBN’s which are niche relevant will surely make a big difference and unless your niche is super competitive, push you to the first page.

Black Hat SEO

Search Engine Optimization is an approach to SEO that some consider being unethical. This type of optimization’s primary goal is to get to the top of Google’s search results, but does it break any rules?

When we say “black hat SEO,” we refer to some unscrupulous marketers’ unethical tactics to gain an unfair advantage over competitors. While it might not always break any laws, some ethical questions are raised about how these techniques are used. Black hat SEO typically employs tactics like spamdexing, keyword stuffing, and doorway pages. These techniques are used to trick Google into thinking that a website is more important than it is. It is a deliberate attempt to manipulate search engines into thinking that a website is more important than it is.

Black hat SEO strategies use several different types of online black hat techniques to achieve their goals. Some use unethical practices like using doorway pages, sending out thousands of automated text links, creating too much link popularity and backlinks, all designed to get better search engine ranking.

In essence, these tactics are against google rules. Search engines are created and designed to rank websites according to the content’s quality and presented information, but also take backlinks as a metric to evaluate and rank websites. That’s where black hat SEO comes into play.

Is Black Hat illegal?

Black hat SEO may very well be against Google policy, but it is perfectly legal as long as the results are achieved. With these tactics, it is possible to achieve first-page rankings for specific keywords on certain search engines including Google.
